Privacy notice
Data you provide
Owevo stores account identifiers, name, email address, group membership, invitations, expenses, settlements, and support requests so the shared-expense service works. A profile photo, receipt image, expense note, and recurring-expense instruction are optional. Owevo does not ask for a date of birth, an age, or a gender, and does not transfer or hold money.
Data collected automatically
Firebase provides authentication, database storage, app-integrity checks, crash reporting, and feature configuration. Those services may process user or installation identifiers, device and app information, network information, crash logs, and diagnostics to provide, secure, and improve the service.
Google Mobile Ads may process an IP address (which can indicate an approximate location), app and ad interactions, diagnostics, advertising data, and device or app identifiers for ad delivery, aggregate reporting, analytics, and fraud prevention. Owevo requests non-personalized ads with restricted data processing; these ads are not selected from your past behavior, but identifiers or local storage may still be used for frequency limits, reporting, security, and fraud prevention.
How data is used and shared
Owevo uses data to authenticate users, maintain groups and balances, deliver invitations, store private media, answer support requests, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, configure features, and show ads. Ledger data is shared with the group members you choose. Service providers process data on Owevo's behalf, including Google Firebase and Google Mobile Ads and Owevo's hosting provider. Owevo does not send expense descriptions, amounts, notes, receipts, dates of birth, or email addresses to advertising or crash logs.
Advertising choices
Where required, Owevo asks for advertising consent before requesting an ad. The Account screen provides Privacy choices when Google's consent system requires an ongoing entry point. You can also use your device's advertising controls. See Google's privacy policy for Google's data practices.
Retention and control
The Account screen can create a portable data export; its download expires after 48 hours. Account deletion has a seven-day cancellation window. After it completes, Owevo removes the account and private personal records while anonymizing shared ledger history needed by other members. A group owner can schedule group deletion with a 30-day cancellation window; completed group deletion removes that group's stored records and receipt files.
Security, diagnostic, and advertising providers retain information under their own policies and settings. Data may be processed in countries where Owevo's providers operate. Owevo uses encrypted connections and access controls, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Children
Owevo is a general-audience service and is not directed to children. Owevo does not collect a date of birth or an age, and does not knowingly collect personal information from a child. The store listing's content rating states the audience the app is offered to.
Your requests
Use the app to export data, change advertising choices, or start account deletion. The same deletion flow is available at owevo.app/account/delete. For access, correction, privacy, or deletion questions, email support@owevo.app.
